We are Energy Modelling Lab (EML), a specialised consulting company focused on advanced energy system modelling and strategic energy planning. We help companies, institutions, and public authorities navigate complex energy systems and develop robust strategies, roadmaps, and investment decisions for the future energy system.

Founded in 2019 and headquartered in Copenhagen, we are owned and led by four PhD-level partners who bring deep expertise in scientific energy system analysis and modelling. Our work combines rigorous research methods with practical consulting to provide reliable insights into complex energy systems.

As a small and agile team, we work closely with our clients to tailor analyses to their specific challenges. Our interactive approach ensures that modelling results translate into actionable knowledge and real-world decisions.

With experience across the entire energy system and independence from equipment vendors, utilities, and political interests, we help organisations navigate the energy transition and make smart, future-proof decisions.
