Zero energy schools under the Korean New Green Deal
The Korean New Green Deal sets aside USD 15.3 billion for Zero Energy Public Buildings by 2025. Schools are a specific target, including the remodelling of old school buildings, so that they become energy efficient and run on solar power.
Impacts on emissions, health and the economy
In this study, Energy Modelling Lab analysed the impacts of changing the energy supply in South Korea’s school buildings. The analysis focused on three areas: greenhouse gas emissions, air pollution and health, and the economic consequences.
